You guys! We’re so excited to be growing the Studio DIY team by one more! Hoo-ray! We are looking for another creative mind and stylist to focus exclusively on developing and producing DIY content for the Studio DIY brand! The person who fills this role will work super closely with me to steer the direction of Studio DIY’s future content, and help put it all together too.

A quick (long) synopsis: This is a two-part job. Part creative development and part creative production. We are looking for someone who understands Studio DIY’s style and vibe but brings their own unique, new and out-of-the-box perspective to the brand. This person should push boundaries and bring a different point-of-view to the brand, while still staying true to Studio DIY’s core messaging. We clearly already have piñatas, donuts and balloons on lock. We are looking for someone who will be able to execute those ideas, while also bringing new ideas to the table.

We are looking for someone with art, design or styling experience, but someone who isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty, day in and day out. Being detail-oriented is important ABOVE ALL ELSE! Yes, the blog is a craft blog, but DIY is our JOB and these DIYs should look like you could have bought them at the store. Someone who is enthusiastic and has a great sense of humor.

We hope to transition this position to a full-time position in 2016 and are looking for someone who is willing and excited to grow with the brand. You must be based in the Los Angeles area. If this sounds like you, please read the details and instructions on how to apply below thoroughly.

Job Tasks Include:

-Producing DIY projects and other creative content for Studio DIY
-Developing and brainstorming NEW ideas, concepts and topics for Studio DIY
-Styling DIY + other shoots
-Sourcing and shopping for materials, supplies and props

Requirements:

-Styling, art and/or design background
-EXTREMELY detail-oriented
-Self-starter and creative thinker (We need someone who is self-sufficient, decisive and confident in their creative skills.)
-On-set photo shoot experience a HUGE plus
-Must be available 2-3 days/week to work at Studio DIY HQ in Downtown Los Angeles, starting ASAP
-Must have your own car and laptop

I’m kind of obsessed with DIYs, and my soul runs off creativity! Let me know if you’re looking for someone still or ever a helping hand! I would love to come craft and share ideas!
