It’s that time again! New year, new goals, time to find some awesome new members to join our growing team! We are looking for a stellar social media + blog intern as well as doing a call for graphic designers who might be interested in collaborating on posts and printables in 2016! Social Media + Blog Intern

We’re looking to hire a blog and social media “Intern Extraordinaire” to help with a variety of tasks both remotely and at Studio DIY HQ. That said, this position is ONLY OPEN to Los Angeles area residents!

In this position, you’ll be researching relevant content for and assisting with Studio DIY’s social media channels, researching products for shopping guides, drafting blog posts, running errands and assisting with craft production as needed. You’ll learn about social media marketing, blogging and running a business and this is a great position for anyone looking to pursue a career in those areas. Please note: While you may be pulled in to craft on occasion, your primary tasks will be in social media and blog post development.

This is a paid internship position. Approximately 10 hours per week and we need at least a 6 month commitment. You must be available to come to Studio DIY HQ one day per week and can work remotely for the remaining hours. You must have your own computer and consistent ability to access the internet during business hours.

As with all our employees, there is opportunity to grow this role into a more permanent position. We are looking to hire immediately so you must already be living in the LA area. If this sounds like you, please read the details and instructions on how to apply below thoroughly!

Job Tasks Include:

-Assisting with Studio DIY’s social media platforms
-Curating Shopping Guides
-Drafting Blog Posts
-Running Errands
-Assisting with craft production + other tasks at Studio DIY HQ


-Must live in Los Angeles and be available 1 day/week to work at Studio DIY HQ in Downtown Los Angeles, plus additional hours remotely
-EXTREMELY detail-oriented, self-starter and creative thinker (We need someone who is self-sufficient and decisive.)
-Experience using Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram
-Experience using WordPress
-In tune with current trends and pop culture
-A familiarity with, understanding of and ability to speak in the Studio DIY voice
-Must have your own car and laptop
-Must have have the ability to access your computer/the internet throughout the day (Monday – Friday)
-Graphic Design skills a HUGE plus, but not required

-A link to three articles or listicles that you think are relevant to the Studio DIY brand and interesting to our readers along with a caption for it. (Imagine you are sharing this on Studio DIY’s facebook page, what would you say?)
-A pin board or linked list of TEN items you would select for a Want It Need It shopping guide. (Topic/theme is up to you!)
-Your resume
-A short paragraph about yourself including why you want to intern for Studio DIY, why you are a good fit and your career goals
-Links to your Instagram, Pinterest and/or other social accounts

Graphic Design Contributor

We are looking to partner with some awesome graphic designers in 2016 on various projects, posts and printables! We’re looking for someone who’s aesthetic and design talents fits our clean, colorful and quirky style and who is available to work on a per project basis.
