Happy Weekend! (+ What’s Your Favorite Chick Flick?)

1/22/2016

Sugarfina PasadenaFor those of you that RSVP’d to our Sugarfina Valentine’s event, we’re getting back to everyone today to confirm if you got a spot! We reached max capacity but we’re creating a waiting list. Stay tuned!

Hiii!!! I’m really excited because we’re starting TWO new Friday things today!!! Later today I’ll kick off our new fashion series but first, I told you I wanted to change up these weekend posts a bit. So, in addition to sharing my favorite links, I thought it would be fun to ask a silly, lighthearted question so we can all share our opinions on these VERY important topics. 😉 We do this a lot on Instagram and Snapchat, but I wanted to bring it here, too! AND! I thought it would be fun to every week give away one of our #troopstudiodiy pin packs to a couple of you who comment below!! So. We’re continuing a conversation I started on Snapchat earlier this week which is…

What is your favorite Chick Flick?

I’m talking girl power chiccckkkk flicks, not Rom Coms (that’s a topic for another day!) and I’d say mine is a toss up between Mean Girls, Bring It On and… does Coyote Ugly count? Yes.

Now, YOU GO!

Giveaway Update: Congrats Miranda + Chelsea! Your #TroopStudioDIY pin packs are on their way!

You know I haven’t seen it in a couple years, but I absolutely LOVE Steel Magnolias. Sure it rips your heart out, but sometimes it’s good to feel all the feels sometimes!

  • claireabellemakes

Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion. LOVE IT and the bf does too!

  • Heather B

It’s a toss up between Miss Congeniality and Pretty Woman! Hopefully these count as Chick Flicks and not just Rom Coms! I think they do solely because these ones I can usually talk my fiance in to watching. Other movies? Not so much hahaha

  • Gina

    Clueless!!! Love that movie!

  • Malissa

Mean Girls hands down! I think I need to watch that this weekend while all of DC is shut down…

  • Kristina B

Ok can we have a Comments Section Movie Night because I agree with all these! I will add the Sex & the City movie. Just the first one. I like to watch the whole series and then the movie. Maybe with a whole pizza by my side.

    • Kelly

Yes!!!!! And a whole pizza by your side is the ONLY way to watch that. I approve!

  • Kate L.

    A League of Their Own.

  • Renee Johnson

Legally blonde all the way 🙂

  • Nicole

I love all of the above and also Grease

  • Kat F.

Thelma and Louise! Do I need to mention that Brad Pitt is in the movie??!!

  • Cassie Gaston

Princess Diaries is my absolute favorite! I will never get tired of it! ?

  • Josie

Probably Mean Girls, Clueless, Grease, and Legally Blonde!

  • Elle

Gosh, it’s so hard to decide! My top favs are probably Pitch Perfect, Legally Blonde, Miss Congeniality, and the Wedding Planner.

  • Elle

Now that I think about it, half of the movies I mentioned are probably Rom Coms, so sorry about that. 😀

  • Lisa

Definitely Stick It, a truly underrated but A++ chick flick.

  • Christine

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Paints and Pretty Woman! These ladies just get it done, and of course with some awesome drama involved!

  • Amy

A League of their Own – hands down! I love Bring It On too <3

Um, does Kill Bill count? A bit dark, but Uma Thurman, you guys, UMA.

  • Lauren

Mean girls and Clueless are definitely the best

  • Jess

    Legally Blonde! Bend and snap!

  • deja

I love all of the bring it on movies!and the sisterhood of the the traveling pants is also one of my faves(:

  • Les

how is that not even the first answer!!!

anyone who tries to claim they invested post its is the best!
and this is probably the first movie i saw where i learned that its better to have 1 best friend than 4 fake ones who dont ever care!!!

    and the dance scene!!! duuude!!!!!!!

    • Les

also, no to the toucans. they will never replace the flamingo.
annnd, why when i saw the tell me why post did i start singing backstreet boys!

      • Kelly

Hahahaha! Because how could you read “Tell Me Why” and NOT start singing that song?

  • Kelley

My favorite chick flicks are Heathers and The Craft! These are probably weird choices, but they’re just so much fun! ?

  • Sam

My absolute favourite is mean girls! Wouldn’t everyone just love to make cakes full of happiness & rainbows everyday?!

  • Chelsey

DEFINITELY Legally Blonde! Ultimate girl power movie. Also as cheesy as it is- Spice World! A true 90s classic 😉 <3

  • Krista

I love How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days! Does that count? Either way, it’s always been one of my favorites!

  • Ella

Hands down The Proposal. Although this is kind of a Rom Com it is me and my friends favorite movie and we always watch it during slumber parties so that must count for something? love Sandra Bullock!!

  • Rachel

    Dirty Dancing and Clueless!

  • Aiman Ghani

Monte Carlo is PERFECT so adorable and beautifully done and I never tire of it.

  • Calena

    thelma and louise forever!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Mekeesha

Romy and micheles high school reunion. She’s all that. 10 things I hate about you. Can those count? I hope you don’t consider them rom coms. Ha. And of course now and then. Naturally.

  • Rosie

TROOP BEVERLY HILLS! How can you not love a camping trip with champagne, cabana tents, and fur coats?!? It’s cookie time!

  • Sophie

    Mamma Mia! I love ABBA.

  • Erin Maree

A Cinderella Story I could watch it all day! I also love The Lizzie McGuire Movie, Legally Blonde, Mean Girls, Pitch Perfect 1 + 2 (love some Rebel Wilson action!), Vampire Academy (because Lucy Fry makes the most stunning vampire ever!), honestly I could go on and on 🙂

  • Shanoya

Yes! Love seeing others share my favorites which are Troop Beverly Hills and Romy and Michelle’s High School Reunion. Also HAIRSPRAY (the original one)

  • Chloe

    Grease 2!!!!!! And Clueless.

  • Alex

I would have said “10 Things I Hate About You” and “Sixteen Candles”, but alas they are rom-coms, maybe then “White Chicks”? 😀

  • Sarah Surette

    Clueless & Spice World!

  • Chloe Ivet

Girrrrrl you know mean girls is a classic. I personally am not a rom com person, I prefer Wes Anderson films or a good Disney princess movie but I am down with watching Mean Girls any day of the week.

  • LirioNohemy

Mean Girls, Bridesmaids or Romy and Michelle if I need a laugh. Fried Green Tomatoes and Steel Magnolias when I’m feeling like a little, old lady! Haha!

  • Erica

Definitely “Flipped” and “My Girl”!! I can watch those two for as long as I live. They are absolutely adorable!! I’ve even made my husband watch them with me. Funny thing is, when we watched Flipped at the theaters we were the only young kiddos there, the rest were elderly couples.

  • Anna Elizabeth

Definitely “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days” or “My Best Friend’s Wedding”. I cry watching both every.single.time.

The aggregation is the extremely striking social affair and these kinds of get-together can be used as a piece of standard everyday presence and this will help working women an impressive measure.
