Easton told his mom Sarah, of Sarah e. Evans Photography, exactly what kind of birthday party he wanted: “A Camping Deer Party!” Lucky for him, he got to celebrate turning four with just that at his very own “Camp Evans.” Sarah flipped the DIY switch, creating the campground of everyone’s childhood dreams and crafting camping-appropriate desserts for the little, and big, campers to enjoy!
Sarah brought out real camping tents for the kids to play and eat in, uh… how fun!? They served fire-roasted hotdogs and campfire chilli, outfitted with woodsy red plaid and tree stump stands. From Sarah, “The signs in the yard were hand painted by me using some left over boards we had out in my husband’s shop. The kids enjoyed doing a scavenger hunt and making s’mores. We even had an outdoor movie screen setup for the Yogi bear movie!“
Per usual, it’s the dessert bar, appropriately decked out in flannel, burlap and pine cones, that really caught my eye! Sarah recruited T Cakes Creations for that unbelievable cake, and created the other desserts herself! “When you think of camping you think of s’mores so i made ‘s’more pops’ out of marshmallows, melted chocolate, and graham cracker crumbs. I made homemade ‘dirt cups’ as a dessert for everyone to enjoy. I tied wooden spoons that I purchased from Sucre & Spice to each. I thought that they needed a little something special so I added the word ‘camp’ with stamps.”
“For the favors, I found these perfect little buckets at the dollar section at Target and thought they would be perfect to house trail mix in for the kids to take home! I again personalized the tag with a deer stamp to bring the element of the deer into the party.” I also love the custom t-shirts Sarah had made for her family to wear (just like true campers!), what a great keepsake from the day!
Happy Birthday Easton! I don’t think I could have envisioned a “Camping Deer Party” any other way!

Hello again Stacy!
Sarah rented the tiered stand from Tamara Menges Designs (her information is listed under Participating Vendors above) but it was originally purchased at Hobby Lobby! Hope that helps!
