What? It’s not Friday. I know, I know. Coming off of a two week blog “break” that was meant to be spent preparing for 2014, but was rather spent recovering from surgery means I’m a bit behind. And this year I’m making an effort not to just toss up some filler post that I don’t 100% love just so I have something to post. So! I’m signing off early this week so I can get it together over here. This has been a very experiential and exciting week for me! I did not one, but two personal posts, and I have to say, I really enjoyed interacting with you guys in a different sense. I absolutely loved reading your thoughtful comments, your wedding experiences and your honeymoon suggestions! (Can we just go on our honeymoon now!?) Thank you all SO much! With a blog mostly focused on fun, light DIYs, I don’t often get to hear from you all in that way, and it really made me smile! I hope to continue posting a bit more personal content through the year, perhaps making these (typical) Friday posts a little more personal, in addition to rounding up my favorite links of course.
Apparently the frill didn’t think I needed to be visible in this photo. (Hilarious outtake from Mary Costa Photography, Balloons by Geronimo Balloons! Full proposal story right here!)
January is shaping up to be one of the most terrifying, yet most exciting, month. I’m working on a few new projects, completely outside of the realm I usually work in, planning a ridiculously exciting event and I’m taking some very serious steps towards securing a space for Studio DIY. Holy cow, that is scary. I’m trying to live this year not without fear, but in spite of my fears. I’m going to email anyone and everyone I want to work with, without hesitation, and I’m going to invest in my business, as horrifying as that may seem for someone who doesn’t know when the next pay check might be rolling in. And with THAT! I’m off to get my plans in place for the next few months and I will see you all back here on Monday!

Any party inspired by Rifle Paper Co. is a party I can get behind.
And this stuffed animal 1st birthday party! My childhood self would have gone crazy over this!
So my new favorite person is Amy Joy Watson. Here is why.
A NYE Dance Party, that’s what I’m talkin’ bout. Though, I accidentally slept through the New Year. Whoops!

Party headbands, anyone?
So, how quickly can I make a batch of these!?
Thought these pom pom napkin rings were SUPER cute! I still haven’t made a pom pom. I need to get on that.
I shall be requesting a giant, sprinkle-covered “25” atop my birthday cake this year.
