It’s here, it’s here! It’s finally here! After so many requests and about nine months of preparations… I’m so excited to introduce you to the Studio DIY YouTube Channel today!!!! Yes! We’re officially on YouTube and are so SO pumped to share a new side of Studio DIY over there! Hip. Hip. HOO-RAY!
First things first… go hit that subscribe button so you never ever miss a video!! We’ll be posting new videos every Thursday and Sunday, and you don’t wanna miss ’em!
Today I wanted to take a minute to do a few things: First, tell you a bit about what to expect on our channel. And second, have YOU tell ME a bit about what you’d like to see! This is a truly new frontier for us!
The really cool thing that’s happened in more recent Studio DIY-years is that our audience has grown to cover a huge age range, from middle school on up to people who have kids in middle school (and beyond!). It’s pretty amazing to think that we can all come together, age aside, to celebrate all things colorful and FUN, isn’t it!? We have videos in store for everyone, and will be testing out so many different types to see what you all like best!
We’ll of course be sharing DIY videos, but we’re also excited to use YouTube to share content we can’t share through photos, too. We’re planning to share monthly behind-the-scenes peeks at what we have going on at the HQ, some really fun hauls and challenges, Q&A’s, hacks, travel diaries and who KNOWS what else!
Actually… maybe you DO know!? Here’s the part where I want to hear from YOU on two things:
1. What would YOU like to see on our YouTube channel? If there’s any “type” of video you absolutely love watching already on YouTube, let me know! Or perhaps there’s something new that you haven’t seen that you always wish existed? I’m always so interested to hear what people like.
2. Are there any questions you’d love to see answered in a Q&A? I’m planning on doing some Q&As myself, both about personal and business, and Jeff and I are also planning on doing some together! FUN! We’ll ask you to submit questions before each one but if you have any burning Qs let us know so we can kick this thing off with a BANG!

I’d love to see a day in the life of Jeff and Kelly Mindell series! Just what you guys do casually throughout the day 🙂 obviously I don’t want to invade your personal life, but I think it would be really interesting!
Also, I think some photography/editing tips from your hubby would be cool!
Lastly, it would be pretty neat to see a series on how you throw a party from start to finish! Decorating is obviously something you share a lot about on the blog, but I am super awkward at keeping a party pumping! It would be so cool to see your parties in action!
Just some thoughts, but anything you do is fabulous. I am a very excited subscriber!

Yes, totally! We’re going to be doing a bunch of “haul” type videos with favorite fashion, home, etc. finds! And have a fun fall fashion video in the works already, too!

How exciting! I have always been a fan of your photo styling and think it would be really fun to see a behind the scene’s look at how to approach styling for various shoots here on the blog. Kind of like an old-school “Making The Video” approach a-la MTV.

Congrats on the Youtube channel Kelly! I know it will be a HUGE success! I personally love fashion and beauty videos. Especially HAULS! I fall in love with some of the items you wear on Instagram or in a post, but sometimes items sell out or are unavailable by the time we see them in the outfit posts (which is a bummer!) I would love to see more of your apartment and studio! Can’t wait to see what you come up with!
Question for the Q&A-
Jeff & Kelly- can you do a guide to your StudioDIY Instagram posts? Where do you find props? How do you create the concept for each photo? How do you create such a colorful, consistent theme? Would love to get a look at how a photo goes from concept to your feed!

I’d love to see behind the scenes of the work and fun things you do in the studio everyday. It’d be cool if you did vlogs also! I follow you both on snapchat and would LOVE to see more into your life because it’s so awesome!! (Not to sound creepy, LOL)

I think it would be soooo cool if u did DIYs expectation vs reality because whenever I try a diy it is nowhere near what it is supposed to look like. Still over the moon about the You Tube channel, don’t think i’ll ever get over it.
