Happy Monday! I can’t quite believe it’s Monday already, can you? I’m kicking off what I hope to be a new regular series here on Studio DIY today… party fashion posts! I’ve been telling you for awhile now that this was happening, but I hadn’t planned it to start just yet. And then I bought myself some yellow heart sunglasses and, well, I just needed to show you them. So this post was born in their honor! This little get-up is what I wore to my niece’s party a few weeks ago (Don’t worry, those posts are coming too!). I keep a lot of simple, versatile pieces in my party-ready closet and this dress is one of them. I kind of think it’s supposed to be a tennis dress in fact, but it’s so darn comfy I just wear it all the time! Pop it with some color and those lovey dovey shades and I am all set for a birthday bash.
Psst… this is totally the perfect twirling dress.

And there you have it! An unplanned start to a brand new series, all thanks to my determination to buy some heart-shaped shades. See, this gave me the “It’s for work” excuse. The best shopping excuse of all!
