Today’s post comes to you from Tiffanie of corner blog. Tiffanie has embarked on a project, 101 Donut Pan Ideas, that I have become totally obsessed with and in awe of over the past few months. She is literally working her way through 101 ideas for using a donut pan, both edible and inedible ones and each project blows me away. I asked her to share a little bit about her series today, and a special holiday inspired “donut” too! These would make great gifts, so hop to it! Take it away Tiffanie..
Hello there! My name is Tiffanie, and I write a blog called corner blog, about my life and work here in San Francisco. I want to first say how happy I am to have come across Kelly’s seriously wonderful blog during the Olympics this past summer. We both had Olympic fever, it seems! HERE is one of Kelly’s creative Olympic projects, and HERE is mine. Great minds think alike, right? Anyway, since then I have been reading Studio DIY every day and am constantly amazed with Kelly’s creativity, crazy work ethic, and her boundless energy and generosity. She is always getting excited about and sharing other people’s work. I love that about her! (I’m blushing over here, Tiffanie! – k)
Kelly and I have been talking about me sharing one of my donut projects with you during the holiday season, so here I am! Last spring I embarked on a slightly insane and very random quest to find 101 Donut Pan Ideas. It has been so much fun. You can find the ones I’ve done so far HERE.
I had several fun ideas, as the holidays are ripe for the picking, but had to decide on one. In keeping with the extra-festive tone of Studio DIY I present to you: Peppermint Bark Wheels!
So pretty, right? Or is it just me? I am officially obsessed with anything in the shape of a donut. But these are really lovely, and totally giftable.
You can use any peppermint bark recipe you’d like. I do a tutorial HERE if you’d like to see how I made them. Next time I’m trying THIS Martha Stewart recipe. It’s got puffed rice in it and looks amazing!
I hope you all have a wonderful holiday, and thank you again, Kelly! It was an honor to be here!
Thank you SO much Tiffanie! Seriously guys, this ongoing project of is one of my favorites of all time. Remember, check out all the past donut projects here and stay tuned to corner blog to see all the new ideas I’m sure Tiffanie has up her sleeve!
Looking for more DIY projects? Check out the full project gallery here! And if you’re looking for some serious holiday cheer, you can get a hefty dose of that right here.
