Ever since we made our disco ball costume, it’s just been lying around the studio ASKING for it’s next moment in the spotlight. So we turned it into a disco ball piñata! If you’re having a New Year’s party… I mean… YES, PLEASE!?
To make the disco ball piñata, follow THIS TUTORIAL, and simply paper maché and fringe the entire balloon, instead of leaving holes in the bottom and top. Cut a small “door” in the side to stuff with candy, then seal up the door with tape. Hang by poking two holes in the top of the piñata and stringing tinsel or strong silver ribbon through. Use masking tape to help secure the edges of the holes so they don’t rip!

Wonderful! We are having a fiesta night at our church Family Fun Friday, I think a piñata is perfect for our game. Perhaps we can make little kid size ones ahead of time for each kidlet to decorate to take home?!!?! Your idea takes the whole piñata/paper mache craft up a notch! Well, gotta get to work playing with paper mache! Thank you for the inspiration!
