Hot on the heels of our ransom note mani… I had to make ransom note balloons!!! The biggest issue with putting stuff on balloons is the weight…. but magazines are made of such thin paper that the sky is the LIMIT here and you can write all you want on a balloon this way. HALLELUJAH!
DIY Ransom Note Balloons
Total Time: 30-45 Minutes
Supplies
Magazines
Scissors
Glue Stick
Mylar Balloons
String/Ribbon
Helium
Directions
1. Decide what phrases you want to make and start digging through your magazines to find them. Cut out all the letters, leaving them in a rectangle shape.
2. Lay them out on top of the (unfilled) balloon in the order you want them. Make sure to stay at least four or five inches from the edge of the balloon.
3. Use a glue stick to glue each letter in place and let dry.
4. Inflate with helium and tie with ribbon or string!

I really just want to cover everything in ransom note letters now, which probably doesn’t surprise you. Haha! I need the “Cake Happens” one to float permanently over my desk.
p.s. Emoji heart balloons!

When it comes to not weighing down your balloons “the sky is the limit” huh? What you did there. I see it.

It’s very simple, but innovative. And the best thing after reading this anyone can easily try it at his/her home.
