Dessert tables have to be my favorite event trend that I hope never goes away. So many options, and so many opportunities to DIY! This pink and black polka dot dessert bar was for my cousin’s bridal shower and I made just about every dessert you see! Be sure to read to the end for a free dessert label printable!
Here’s the rundown of the treats everyone enjoyed: Strawberry pop-tart pops, chocolate covered brownie bites, mini raspberry cupcakes, mini strawberry pies, sugar cookie bars, chocolate covered pretzels, raspberry trifles and cake truffles! Yes, we don’t mess around when it comes to desserts in my family.
Along with the desserts, I made a bunch of simple decor items to go along with the pink and black polka dot theme. I made garlands using circles cut from craft paper with Martha Stewart Punch-Around-the-Page Circle Punch which were then strung together by “threading” black string through each one. I used the same scrapbook paper (Thanks Michaels!) to make flags for the brownies and both flags and wrappers for the pies.
I designed all of Krista’s paper goods for the shower and wedding and utilized the same black and pink elements from the invitation to create these labels for the dessert bar. It’s always fun to give guests a sneak peek of what’s to come on the wedding day, even if they don’t know it yet! Lucky for you all, These circle labels are available to download (for free!) by clicking here! To make, print on card stock, fold along the top of the circle and cut through both layers around the circle, leaving about 1/2 in. to 1 in. attached at the top. You can write or stamp your dessert items onto the labels and you’re good to go for a shower or party with this same color scheme!

As a favor, we provided guests with polka dot take-out boxes to take home all the leftover desserts and if there’s one thing I know for sure, people love free food. Myself included!
