If you remember last year, I was so excited to be a part of Mary, Jennie + Corelyn’s annual heart cake project! That my friends, is when the infamous giant gold heart piñata made it’s debut (and now it lives in my studio!). This year, they brought me back again to add a little somethin’ somethin’ to the shoot! Yayyy!! Mary found the most incredible graffiti “Love” wall (LA is SO awesome, isn’t it!?) and we all pretty much died over it, so the backdrop was set! It was so fun to take a totally different turn on the shoot this year. It involved striped balloons, a black heart cake, and some shiny garlands… so you know I was happy! Ch-check it out!
To make the cake topper, I punched/cut out a bunch of little hearts and hot glued them to toothpicks and bamboo skewers! (Please, please if you are using glitter like I did, make sure you SEAL IT with mod podge on top! Safety first!)
Isn’t it great!? That wall. Those garlands. After all was said in done, the behind-the-scenes folks decided to take their turn in front of the camera! Here’s a few of my fave outtakes! Working with this group is always a blast!

Such great photos! Love the balloons and heart garland you used. If you’re curious, the graffiti artist who painted the wall is Curtis Kulig 🙂
