Yay! A new series! Since it’s pretty clear I love sugar, dessert and all things sweet, I decided to start a new feature here on Studio DIY… Sugar Fix! I’ll be featuring my favorite places to grab a treat, and trying out some new places too! When I heard Sockerbit, a Scandinavian candy store, was opening in LA, I knew it would be the perfect place to kick it off!
I’d heard and seen amazing things about the original NYC location and so we hopped right in just a few days after it opened here in LA! And all my dreams came true. The candy is probably (read: definitely) the most beautiful candy I have ever seen. But for those of you who don’t care about looks, it’s delicious too and all the candy is made with high quality ingredients. No high fructose corn syrup, trans fats or GMOs, and all the colors are “made from nature.” BAM! Candy you don’t need to feel bad about. You are WELCOME.

A huge thank you to Florence and Stefan (the sweet, sweet owners of the company!) for having us in and letting us run around this sugar dream world. If you’re in LA, be sure to check out Sockerbit!

I have to admit I’m not a candy fan (I’m more of a chocolate girl myself) but that shop looks irresistible!

Kelly, this place looks amazing, and for your series, I visited Barcelona recently and they have THE coolest sweet shops ever called Happy Pills.
I am not sure if they have shops elsewhere but you need to check them out. Their whole concept is just brilliant. Looking forward to seeing more of this series! Emma x

That is so cool! We are Americans living in Denmark and when we lived in other countries I always had my family send us candy because I missed it so much, but since moving to Denmark I never ask for anything because the candy is so awesome here. These shots look like they could have been taken down the street! Thanks so much for sharing!
Kelly says
Ah, that’s amazing! Their bag says Scandinavians are the biggest candy consumers in the world!
