SO many of you made our DIY Lisa Frank costumes last year that I had to do a second round!! So this year we’ve added the rainbow tiger, the kitten, Casey the golden retriever AND a ballet bunny!!! Now a whole BIG group of you can go as your favorite 90s throwback!!!!
Casey the Golden Retriever
Yellow Dress | Rainbow Ribbon | Rainbow Hair Bows | DIY Felt Ears
To make the felt ears, cut out two ear shapes from yellow felt and hot glue to a hard plastic headband. Glue the rainbow bows on top of each ear.
Pink Kitten
Pink Dress | Ruffle Collar + Cuffs | Gloves | Ruffle Socks | DIY Felt Ears
To make the felt ears, cut out two cat ear shapes from pink felt and two smaller cat ear shapes from purple felt. Hot glue the purple ears onto the pink, and then hot glue the pink ears to a hard plastic headband.
Ballet Bunny
Purple Leotard | Rainbow Tutu | White Tights | Mini Tiara | DIY Bunny Ears | Purple Flats | Pink Ribbon
To make the felt ears, cut out two bunny ear shapes from white felt and two smaller bunny ear shapes from pink felt. Hot glue the pink on top of the white ears and the hot glue the ears to a hard plastic headband. Tie the pink ribbon around your ankle, ballet style, before putting on the ballet flats.
Rainbow Tiger
White Jumpsuit | DIY Felt Rainbow Stripes | Temporary Hem Tape | DIY Felt Ears
Cut stripes of all shapes and sizes out of rainbow colored felt. Attach to jumpsuit with hem tape for a temporary hold or with hot glue for a permanent one. To make the felt ears, cut out two ear shapes from purple felt and two smaller ones from hot pink felt, plus a few small stripes from white and yellow felt Hot glue the pink onto the purple, and the stripes on to the pink. Then, hot glue the ears to a hard plastic headband.
And we can’t forget last year’s costumes either…

It may be the simplest one, but I love that Casey costume. It may also be because Casey was always my fave character. Which one was your fave as a kid!?!?
