Blognic: A DIY Blogger Meetup in Los Angeles

Hey look, it’s Blognic! If you’ve been following, you’ve heard me talk all about the preparations for Blognic, a meetup Amanda of Love Creative, Sarah of Very Sarie and myself threw for a group of local bloggers. It finally happened last Sunday and it was a blast! Lots of lovely ladies showed up for a potluck picnic in Griffith Park (with loads of yummy treats) and we had a fun afternoon eating, chatting and, of course, crafting! A special thank you to Amanda of Jean & Gene Creative for photographing the whole thing, and a big shout out to Garnish (You know how much I love Garnish!) for providing the utensils and takeout boxes so we could take all those leftovers home.

 

I made a fun geometric garland, or as I like to call it, “Deconstructed Gingham” since gingham was the theme of the invite! The DIY will be headed your way soon. In the meantime, recall this project? I revamped it to fancy up the utensils from Garnish!

I am obsessed with the paper goods and labels Sarah created for the picnic. The takeout boxes said “Take me home, I’m all yours” and “Let’s go back to your place.” AH!

Oh hey, that’s me down there! We each brought a blanket to sit on and chat the day away.

There’s Jennie and Corelyn, the fabulous duo behind Garlic My Soul. You may remember them from this delicious collaboration. And below those ladies, you’ll see Saudia.. who has the most awesome blog name. Red Velvet and Whiskey!

We couldn’t let an event go by without a craft! Duh! We asked everyone to bring a plain notebook and we provided lots of items, like stamps, punches and washi tape to jazz ’em up.
