Our Royal Wedding Viewing Party!

Hey, did you guys know that there was a royal wedding last week? It was kind of under the radar right!? 😉

Haha! Well since our invite to the actual wedding must have gotten lost in the mail (Jeff is still bitter…), we got to celebrate the royal wedding from across the pond with OPI and Wella! Uhhh. pretty sure our party was better! Don’t tell the happy couple! 😉

You guys know I love a theme (If I had a dime for every time I wrote that sentence on this blog…) so this was a super fun event to put together because the whole thing was inspired by OPI’s Make It Iconic Collection. Every single element of the party was pulled from one of the colors or names in the collection! I invited some of my fave gal pals to watch the royal wedding while also getting the full royal treatment themselves. We’re talking manis, a blow-dry and styling bar, cocktails, fascinators, mini wedding cakes (!) and an EPIC gift bag. (You can win some of the goodies from it over on my Instagram today!) Wanted to share a little recap today because all the details were just TOO GOOD not to!

I’m going to break down each element so you can see how we pulled our inspo! First up, we should probably talk about the food! #priorities

Cajun Shrimp is a crowd favorite (SO many of you DM’d that it’s your all-time fave shade!) and we knew we had to incorporate both the perfect color and of course a signature shrimp dish into our menu. We found everything from linens to server ware to napkins in that perfect coral shade and filled up the table with delicious food.

Right next-door we had the desserts! Two fold here on the color inspo. First, perfectly pink tiramisus inspired by Tiramisu For You! You guys know we had to add our own pink twist to that classic dessert! 😉 And you can’t have a wedding without cake (IMHO) but we went mini with ours, iced perfectly in white, inspired by OPI’s Alpine Snow. (FYI, these ended up looking so similar to the actual royal wedding cake! Great minds!)

To really go all in on our color palette, we recruited our fave gals at Bonjour Fete to create the intertwining balloon installation and had Of The Flowers make a floral arrangement in each color. SO PRETTY!!!!

Now how about the drinks! Strawberry Margarita was an obvious choice for inspo here. Except we added our own spin and made these drinks sparkling rosé strawberry margaritas. People went crazy for them! Hot tip! The rim was made with powdered dehydrated strawberries and is a great way to make any cocktail feel like a pro made it!

Since it’s always fun to see what the hats all the other royals wear for these big occasions, we had to have a DIY fascinator station inspired by the sparkly pink Princesses Rule shade. The gals made so many cute versions of these little hats and they looked so cute styled after their hair got all done up with Wella EIMI styling products.

And of course, there were OPI manicurists on hand (pun intended!) to give these gals mini manis in their fave Iconic shade.

We couldn’t get these ladies all decked out with a good photo app so we pulled inspo from my personal favorite shade, Mod About You, (Pink, duh!) and Bonjour Fete came through again with these updated version of a wedding arch! Balloons and florals, all in pink and just so darn perfect. Wanted to take this whole thing home with me!

Last but not least, the gift bags. These included a bottle with a custom Malaga Wine label, inspired by OPI’s perfect wine-red, a box of macarons in matching shades and OPI and Wella products! Like I said, keep an eye on my Instagram to find out how you can win some of these goodies yourself!!
