We’ve watched our fair share of holiday and Christmas movies, shows and specials over the last few weeks. I thought I’d share a huge round-up of some of our faves (that we’ve watched and that are on our “to watch” list) that the whole family enjoyed!
Below you’ll find everything from holiday classics, to holiday episodes of our son’s favorite shows, to holiday decorating and musical specials. I broke it down by streaming platform, so you can see what’s available on the app(s) you have.
This is only a FRACTION of the holiday content that’s out there, but if you’re looking for something fun to watch this holiday break, hopefully it will be a good starting point!

Muppet Family Christmas!! It’s a favorite of my family and it was such a treat when my husband and I discovered he loved it too growing up! We watched it on YouTube the other night. Not the same as watching it on our VHS copy with the 80s commercials, but it gets the job done!

Hulu has quite a few Christmas specials too! Elf, Arthur Christmas, Ice Age Christmas, Cat in the Hat Christmas (and like a bazillion other things!) are all streaming free on Hulu right now.

With a 4 year old and a 2 year old I’m so grateful for this list! I have been searching Christmas and barely any of these come up! 🙂

The Snowman is on Amazon, too, and it’s so relaxing to watch! Thanks for the Rec of Jingle Jangle – we’ll watch this today! We also love Klaus on Netflix.

We watched A Boy Called Christmas on Netflix this year, and it was good! I had low expectations, and it’s deeper and more adventurous than I thought it’d be. It has kind of a Narnia feel. I didn’t watch the preview, though my 9yr old said it gave way too many spoilers. So, beware!
Trolls Holiday in Harmony released this year and is now available for free on Peacock/NBC.
